Climate prediction and the 1707 and 1801 UK charts

Reason for using the 1801UK Union chart -1801 UK chart with 64th harmonic
In researching severe winters in the UK from 1700 to 1990 I found that the last four of the six severest winters (using sidereal capsolar ingress), 1795, 1814, 1879 and 1963 that Uranus was on the 10 degree axis in the fixed signs:

1795: UR=10° Leo
1814: UR=09° Scorpio
1879: UR=10° Leo
1963: UR=10° Leo

This corresponds with the 84 (42) year cycle of Uranus itself which interestingly also correlates with these severe winters, which were the coldest on record. Looking at the various UK charts I found that the 1801 Union with N. Ireland chart has Pluto exactly on 10° Aquarius (sidereal) and doing a 64th harmonic chart (the I-Ching aspect) one finds Venus placed at 12° Leo, now with the synod of Uranus coming -0- Pluto (Venus -0- 64th harmonic) every 84/42 years this brings in reoccuring severity and harshness of winter weather, that is extreme cold. I therefore tried some experimenting with severe weather events in the UK to see if they syncronised with the 1801 chart, the results follow.

Links to severe weather

I will use 4 major weather events to show the linkage between these and the UK chart:

1) 21st Nov. 1981:
Tornado outbreak, largest on record in the UK which was widespread from central to southern England.
2) 28th Oct. 1927:
Severe gale causing a storm surge to flood parts of North West England and west Wales, loss of life.
3) 16th Oct. 1987:
The infamous "Hurricane" to hit SE England on the night of the 15th (early morning 16th) with devasting damage and millions of pounds worth of damage, loss of life.
4) 25th Jan. 1990:
Severe gale more widespread than the 1987 gale therefore more damage, loss of life.

NB: The greatest gale on record goes back to 1703 which was chronicled by Daniel Defoe in which 9,000 people died as a result of the severity of the wind. Whether this event links with the 1703 chart of the Union with England and Scotland still needs investigating.

I will use the event transits to the UK chart using the sunrise chart as my base, this method is widely used in Vedic astrometeorology to assess the weather for a particular day this of course combined with other ingresses. Also, I use the quotidian (Q1) progression method which moves the angles, in our case the UK 1801 chart, by approximately 1° per day. This is vital when using the normal procedure of ingresses; the Sun in Capricorn (Capsolar) for instance can be progressed by this method as can the other ingresses you care to use, any contact from the angles, and here I include the progressed A/M midpoint, can indicate a particular weather indicator as we shall now see.

1) Tornado Outbreak
First we want to know where the Q1 prog. angles are in regards to the UK chart itself (all aspects are within 2°).

Prog. to 1801 Radix
AS (p) 17°Leo16'=none
MC (p) 10°Taurus36' = -90- Pluto -180- thunder/damage
A/M (p) 28°Gemini56'=none

We find that the progressed MC is exactly square to Pluto and opposite the Uranian picture (sum) thunder with damage, which to all intents and purposes denotes tornadic characteristics. This is a perfect description of explosive events lurking in the background.

The event day transits have the following connections to 1801

Su/As 4°25' Scorpio= -90- Saturn -0- Hades
Moon 6°03' Virgo= -0- Uranus
Saturn 23°42' Virgo= -90- thunderstorm/violent
Uranus 5°48' Scorpio= -0- Hades -90- Destructive force of nature

NB: The sunrise chart has its own pertinent contacts such as the A/M -180- Pluto with the Sun and Uranus both -0- the AS.

It doesn't take much to realise that the above contacts have a potential for disturbance in the atmosphere. Hades which is one of the transneptunian planets is described as a negative influence and according to Witte's description denotes things that are "ugly" in one's surroundings, also the Sun contacts the picture "heavy rains and hail storms", plus Uranus gets involved with the "destructive power of nature" picture, quite some day!.

2) Gale - Storm Surge 1927 loss of life

Prog. to 1808 Radix
AS (p) 00°Leo06'= -0- Saturn (and -90- Saturn in 64th)
MC (p) 16°Aries21' = -0- Mars
A/M (p) 08°Gemini13'= -90- Uranus & Vulcanus

The progressed ascendant is contacting radix Saturn and also Saturn in the 64th harmonic, this doubles the saturnian force into action with Mars also involved (Mars/Saturn=death) we can see that the loss of life is a major factor in this gale. The A/M contact to Uranus and Vulcanus is very explosive and aptly Witte describes this picture, "To live in a dangerous environment", Vulcanus is the greatest force or power in Uranian astrology.

Event chart (transits)

Su/As 10°47' Libra= -90- Jupiter
Moon 08°47' Scorpio= -0- Hades -90- Pluto
Mercury 01°34' Scorpio= -90- Saturn
Neptune 05°06' Leo= -90- Hades -180- Destructive force of nature
MC 22°01' Cancer= (-90- Neptune orb 4d.)

The transits for the event show many tones of mighty forces at work, especially descriptive is the Neptune contact with Hades and the Uranian "destructive force of nature" point, interestingly Neptune and Hades are connected with catastrophes involving water which in this example denotes the sea. Mercury corresponds in astrometeorolgy with the force of wind and here we find the contact with Saturn, a hard wind indeed!.

3) Severe Gale ("Hurricane") 1987

Prog. to Radix
AS (p) 22°Cancer09'= -90- Mars (-0- Hades in 64th)
MC (p) 04°Aries31' = -0- Poseidon (-90- Jupiter & Neptune in 64th)
A/M (p) 28°Taurus20'= none

Since this gale was no doubt the worst this century we should expect to find some powerful symetry, actually there is not much to see in the radix contacts but the 64th harmonic shows it all more clearly with the AS coming to the partile with Hades, a frequent contact in severe weather, and also the MC with Jupiter and Neptune (exactly - 0- in the 1801 UK chart), denotes the tremendous building up of moisture in the atmosphere leading to low cyclonic pressure with the resulting storm.

Event chart (transits)

Su/As 27°47' Virgo= -90- Moon
Moon 14°17' Cancer= -0- Jupiter
Mercury 01°34' Scorpio= -180- Mars
Mars 10°13' Virgo= -0- Uranus
Neptune 10°53' Sagittarius= -90- Uranus
MC 05°00' Cancer= -0- Poseidon

The main signal that stands out is the Mars -90- Neptune in the event chart, both these planets contact Uranus in the UK chart which heralds the sudden nature of this storm which the UK forecasters didn't see! Mercury (wind) hits Mars a disturbed night was on the cards, another feature was that the temperature rose sharply as the gale advanced, Mercury with Mars clearly described.

4) Severe Gale 1990 widespread damage with loss of life.

Prog. to Radix
AS (p) 02°Libra03'= -90- Posiedon (-90- Jupiter & Neptune in 64th)
MC (p) 10°Cancer23' = -0- Jupiter
A/M (p) 21°Leo23'= none

Again we find an angle instigated with Jupiter-Neptune (64th harmonic), a similar situation to the 1987 gale.

Event chart (transits)
Su/As 10°28' Capricorn= -90- Jupiter
Jupiter 07°42' Gemini= -90- Uranus
Neptune 18°19' Sagittarius= -0- Sun
MC 10° Scorpio= -90- Pluto
A/M 10° Sagittarius= -90- Storms -90- Uranus & Vulcanus

The A/M midpoint in the event chart shows the Uranus/Vulcanus/Storm picture a very volatile situation in which great damage was done and also several lives were lost to this gale. Neptune to the UK Sun is a long-lived aspect so perhaps we can best describe this as a particular change in the MOOD of the country corresponding with gale itself.

Note: In both the 1987 and 1990 gales the MC and AS angles respectively were both - 90- the Mercury/Pluto midpoint in the 1801 UK chart. This combination gives the storm/wind the added impetus for causing damage.

The 1707 chart in Wet Summers and the Dry Summer of 1976

1707 UK chart with 64th harmonic

Wet Summers

Jupiter contacts to Saturn in the 1707 chart = 12 out of 24
Jupiter and Saturn denote unsettled weather with heavy precipitation.

The Dry Summer of 1976 (more detailed analysis below)

1976 Cansolar chart

Cansolar (Sun Cancer ingress) aspects to 1707 UK Chart
Jupiter -0- to 1707 Sun
Mars -0- to 1707 Jupiter (wide)
MC -180- to 1707 Saturn
MC -135- to 1707 Mars
AS -90- to 1707 Mercury
AS -180- to 1707 Uranus

All aspects are within 2° orb apart from the wide 10° between Mars to Jupiter. Mars, Sun and Jupiter (Aries, Leo and Sagittarius - making up the fire triplicity) are regarded as the three hottest planets (signs) in astrometeorology, we can see the these planets interweave their contacts between the cansolar ingress and the 1707 chart, in the cansolar chart itself Mars is in Leo square to the MC/IC axis with cansolar MC -135- Mars in the 1707 chart, a dual action between the same energies. The cansolar MC is also exactly -180- Saturn in the 1707 chart and this is important as saturn denotes a constraint on weather flow with weeks of heat and dry conditions denoted by the Martian influence.

Hot and Cold days in the CET Index

In "Climates of the British Isles - Past, Present and Future" (edited by Hulme & Barrow), there is presented a table with notable very hot (>23.5°C) and very cold (< -8.0°C) days in the daily Central England Index, these are the actual mean temperature values. Since the planets representing heat are the Sun, Mars and to a lesser extent Jupiter, I set about tabulating these planets using their midpoints with the hottest days in question and then seeing where these fell in the 1801 UK chart.

Temp.  Date
23.7 c   15/7/1825
23.7 c   07/8/1975
23.9 c   24/7/1818
23.9 c   05/7/1976
24.0 c   05/7/1852
24.0 c   13/7/1923
24.4 c   03/8/1990
24.5 c   13/7/1808
24.9 c   01/8/1995
25.2 c   29/7/1948

The MA/JU mp. show two groups; Leo 24d, Taurus 25d and Libra 11d and 14d, 15d, 16d, 19d in the cardinal zones. The first group aligns with Jupiter 9° Cancer in the UK radix and also the Sun 26° Aquarius in the 64th harmonic, both these planets are regarded as heat giving bodies.
In the second group in which the combination is situated in the cardinal sectors, we find that all are close to the UK Mars radix at 19° Aries, Mars being the hottest planet in astrometeorology. The SU/MA mp for our hottest days produces an interesting cluster centered around 7° Cancer which hits the UK radix Jupiter at 9° Cancer and the 64th harmonic UK Mars at exactly 7° Libra.

Moving on to the coldest days in the Central England Index, since Saturn and Uranus are regarded as the two coldest planets in astrometeorology we can infer that these two planets will be significant in our analysis. We find that Saturn by itself produces a cluster centered around the UK 64th H. Uranus 5° Virgo in 5 of the 11 coldest days. The SA/UR mp. produces a cluster in the cardinal sector similiar to the MA/JU second cluster and Mars contacts, there is another interesting degree area 5 exactly at 20° in all the modes which correlate with Mars, the Sun and the uranian point of FREEZE and in the 64th H. all these five 20 degree points are exactly with the uranian point of COLD at 20° Libra.

Chart with Uranian FREEZE & COLD points

The Summer Heatwave of 1976

Using the sidereal cancer ingress and the interaction with the 1770 and 1801 UK charts. The summer of 1976 in the British Isles stands out as one of the most memorable in recent history as being the warmest and longest summer spell without rain and especially for the abundance of sunshine, there were sixty-two days when the maximim temperature was 25°C or more, 25°C being defined as a "hot day", and between 23 June and 7 July the temperature exceeded 32°C in some part of the country. The summer of 1976 ranks as the warmest on record according to temperature figures (Central England Temperatures- CET) going back to 1659 (1976 mean summer temp.17.8°C). The major planetary bodies that act as heat transmitters are, the Sun, Jupiter, and Mars, associated with the Fire triplicity; Aries-Mars/Leo-Sun/Sagittarius-Jupiter, so we should pay particular attention to these three in the cansolar chart and also the UK charts of 1707 and 1801.

Looking at the sidereal cansolar (Cancer) summer seasonal chart (16 July 20:54GMT London) we find Mars in sidereal Leo angular (7th) and the Sun 135° the MC, both heat promoters with the AS in Capricorn denoting long spells of a particular weather pattern, i.e., a blocking type pattern such as anticyclonic (high pressure) or cyclonic (low pressure) weather, in this case the anticyclone (Azores High) was a predominant feature. Looking a bit closer at the midpoint structures we find that Jupiter is within 2° of the A/M and Mars/AS: JU=A/M=AS/MA with Saturn = AS/Sun, this indicates that the summer will have higher than normal temperatures and that these will be sustained for a considerably time (Saturn).

Now this is a rather hit and miss prognosis unless we have a more deep rooted chart to work with so we must turn to the national charts of the UK which are the 1707 and 1801 Union chart, in this way we can get a better understanding of the underlying principles at work.

1976 cansolar to 1707 chart
MC 180° Saturn (drought)
Mars 90° Saturn (heat & drought)
Jupiter 0° Sun (e) (heat & heat)

Cansolar midpoints to 1707 chart (90° dial orb 1°)
SO/MO=Jupiter (heat)
JU=AS/MA=Sun (heat & heat)
MC/MA=Mars (heat)

1976 cansolar to 1801 chart
AS 90° Mars (e) (heat)
Jupiter 90° Saturn (heat & drought)
Saturn 0° Jupiter (drought & heat)

Cansolar midpoints to 1801 chart (90° dial orb 1°)
JU=A/M=Sun (heat)
SO/MO=Saturn (heat & drought)
UR=SA=SO/AS=Jupiter (drought & heat)
JU=MA/AS=Saturn (heat & drought)
MA/AS 28° Virgo=Uranian point "extremes of heat or cold" 29° Pisces
SO/MA=Mars (heat)

We can see that the 1976 cansolar ingress makes relevant contacts to both UK charts, but the contacts to and from the 1801 chart stand out, for example the dual contact between Jupiter and Saturn can be referred to as a long period of hot weather leading to drought conditions, a strong feature of that summer. Also, the midpoint connections are particulary strong which includes the MA/AS midpoint 90° Witte's uranian point of "extreme heat or cold".
If we convert the cansolar chart into the 64th harmonic we find that the ascendant becomes Leo (heat) with the MC falling in Aries another heat giving sign. The heat giving planets, Mars (Leo) and Jupiter aspect the MC with the drought planet Saturn directly opposite the Leo ruled ascendant.
Another interesting point is that the 64th harmonic Leo ascendant at 11°51' is nearly exactly conjunct cansolar Mars at 11°35', a very appropriate signal for a summer with endless sunshine and record heat.
Looking to the 1801 chart we find the 64th A/M 18°Gemini11' is exactly with the 1801 Sun at 18°Sagittarius13', the 64th Sun/Jupiter midpoint at 19°Gemini32' is just over the 1° orb but close enough to suggest the receptiveness of these charts.
